My approach to orthopaedic care

Every patient has a different problem, medical history and set of expectations. In your consultation, my aim is to:

  1. Listen

Listen carefully to your symptoms and concerns.

  2. Examine

    Perform a focused clinical examination.

  3. Review

Review imaging and other investigations when indicated.

  4. Explain

Explain the diagnosis and available treatment options.

  5. Discuss

Discuss the potential benefits, limitations and risks of treatment.

  6. Plan recovery

Help you understand rehabilitation and follow-up requirements.

Surgery is not necessary for every orthopaedic condition. Where appropriate, non-operative treatment may be considered before proceeding to surgery.
